Dunfermline gives Mozza fans a charming welcome

Two Dunfermline pubs have gone out of there way to welcome Morrissey fans on Monday 20th June. Morrissey will play the sold out gig at The Alhambra Theatre at night but can now enjoy a choice of pre-gig events right on the doorstep of The Alhambra.

morrissey-pre-gig-party at The Old Inn The Old Inn, Kirkgate, Dunfermline will have a pre-gig party from 4pm until 8pm

The event will be hosted and run by Morrissey fans who will have a selection of Morrissey and Smiths music on their playlist, fans can request songs from the screen and will include studio albums, bootlegs and live music.

There will also be some visuals on the big screen for fans to enjoy while they get in the mood for the concert at night.

One of the organisers has also added that “there will be some great treats in store for the fans who pop into The Old Inn before the main event at night.”

“Large Morrissey posters will be given away between 5pm and 7pm and will be handed out randomly to the fans, the posters are cracking and will be a great addition to anyones collection.”

Heineken Beer is only £2 a bottle at all music events at The Old Inn, that should save a few quid to spend on the merchandise stall at the gig.

More info and directions to The Old Inn are available on the website at www.oldinndunfermline.co.uk

Somewhere Else, Guildhall Street are also opening their welcome arms to Morrissey fans.

Matt Meade will be hosting the event and has said

” it’s simple – just the Smiths (and some Morrissey) on an iPod played through the pub’s PA. Requests for tunes taken. It’s really just a chance for fans to get together and have a chat before the big event.”

“Requests taken – but we’re not gonna spend all night putting ‘This Charming Man’ on repeat”

I’m sure all Morrissey fans will enjoy a great afternoon out in Dunfermline before the Alhambra gig, a huge thanks to The Old Inn and Somewhere Else for taking the time and effort to make welcome and entertain Morrissey fans from all over.

Morrissey fans of the world unite and take over……………

We hope you all have a blast and enjoy your day and night out in Dunfermline
