Introducing… Modern Faces

The Dunfermline Music Scenes first in a series of Introducing articles.

Our first aticle features local ‘Modern Faces’ from Dunfermline, a rip roaring rock n roll circus that not only have great tunes but a real certain swaggering mentality to go with it. The band are at present on the verge of signing a label deal and this year will be doing some of the biggest gigs of their careers.

modern-faces-dunfermline Modern Faces are an emerging five-piece band who blend, sonic rock chic with colossal anthemic melodies. Lyrically venomous and an attitude to shake up an institution, that is crying out for a ferocious and bombastic entity.

While remaining fresh throughout their work, there is a definite compilation of influences from the psychedelic 60s right through to the pulsating 21st century. The band name checks such greats as Oasis, The Stone Roses and The Verve as big influences in their career.

No strangers to the UK gig circuit either the band have played shows in their hometown of Dunfermline, right through to London City. Since forming, the band has played their biggest show of their existence to a strong 900 crowd at The Velocity in Dunfermline. Since then the band have played Liverpool’s Sound City Festival, This Feeling Club, London, Death Disco, London, Greasy Lips, Manchester and many more.

With an ever growing fan base, this year will see the band play at the upcoming Primal Scream After Show Party on the 26th March at the Brixton Jamm, to celebrate the boys final show of their tour.

The band are currently holed up in the studio, where they are working on new material to hopefully release later in the year.

You can preview one of their latest tracks called “Gun For Hire” on the soundcloud website, this trrack is currently being aired on digital radio and Amazing Radio and is currently rated as one of the best new tunes.
