Music For Mary- The Draymin, Bruce & Jamie Watson – Featured Gig

music for mary draymin bruce jamie featuredOur new featured gig for August to sit alongside the Mighty Stiff Little Fingers, who play Velocity on the 7th August is the Music For Mary Charity Concert.

The Kingsgate Shopping Centre and Kennys Music Dunfermline have teamed up to bring Dunfermline music fans a special gig at The Glen Pavilion on Sunday 29th August.

This very special music event features The Draymin who are fresh back from another blistering  performance at T In The Park and a new release from the Rosyth based band is due out on Monday 23rd August. The single – ‘We Will Fall’ will be backed up by ‘Block 11′ and will be released on limited edition CD and download.

Also on the bill for the Glen Pavilion gig is Bruce & Jamie Watson who are also extensively touring the UK and recently released a new album called Another Anthem For The Damned available from iTunes and from their website. There will also be some special guest bands appearing on stage.

Tickets are available to buy online right now and will be available in local outlets soon

Mary Leishman FoundationThe charity concert is to be held in aid of The Mary Leishman Foundation the local charity is spearheaded by Jim Leishman in memory of his wife Mary. Mostly based around helping creativity and encouraging potential in local areas, the Mary Leishman Foundation has held other fundraising events in and around the Dunfermline area and further afield, and has been heavily supported by a growing fanbase and volunteers.

The gig on the 29th August will also provide bands and fans the chance to win some great prizes through raffles and auctions which will take place at different intervals during the band performances. Local businesses and other contributers have given generously so there will be opportunities for some lucky winners to take home some fantastic prizes.

This is a definite NOT TO BE MISSED gig, if you cant make this gig yourself please be sure to pass all the info on to all your friends, post details on you Myspace or Facebook pages (like and share)and wish these guys all the best for what should be a great night of music right on our Dunfermline doorstep.
